  1. This two-part limerick was inspired by the “Three Fragments from Julietta” by Czech composer Bohuslav Martinů. It’s a concert adaptation of his opera, “Julietta.” I have to admit, Pete, that the idea in my mind was too complex to fit within the confines of a standard limerick. I don’t recall ever seeing a two-part limerick before, but since I’m also making use of recurring characters (I don’t think we’ve seen the last of Sadie & Marie), I decided, “Hey, why not?” As for recurring characters, the three blind musicians may return in future limericks….
