“For Whom the Flag Waves.” A three-part limerick…
When Sadie (with sister Marie)
A prairie dog happened to see
She stuck in its hole
A flag on a pole
“It’s perfect, sis! Don’t you agree?”
A plum and thorn tree could be seen
(One purple, the other one green)
To stretch out a branch
Toward Cherry’s ranch
In front of which stood the “Red Queen”
The flag brought more customers in
The sisters got paid for twin sin
The madam was thrilled
(Her brothel was filled)
The prairie dog burrowed again

Glad to see the girls making another visit David. And three limericks for the price of one? You are spoiling us!
Best wishes, Pete.
I decided to have twin sisters Sadie & Marie work in Cherry Costello’s bordello in Morello, Texas. I’ll have to bring back Mr. Whiskerlee in a future limerick. I agree with you: this one was a bit ambitious!
