Was thin as a tweed knitter’s needle
The waistcoat he wore
Was so tight they swore
It made his gruff voice toodle-tweedle

I read Oliver Twist in high school, and enjoyed it immensely. A class assignment was to write the introduction of a novel in the style of Dickens. I impressed the teacher, and I remember the assignment to this day.
