Arthritic or not, they were all of a mind
To enter the “Charity Race for the Blind”
They slipped on their hospital mules
And shuffled their feet, but McEwell’s
Stiff joints made the twenty-mule team fall behind…

Whose Harley ran clean out of fuel.
“It’s awful damn hot!
If only,” he thought,
“I had me a Death Valley mule!”

Climate change…

Since Hilly likes plenty of snow, it’s not strange.
Of course, she would grumble, “I won’t climb it! Change
This lofty plateau
That rarely gets snow
For one of those peaks in that north mountain range.”

Getting high…

This morning, Miss Megan (a nutmeg fanatic)
Discovered while rummaging round in her attic
A keg full of strong egg milk punch.
She heavily spiced it at lunch
And drank it! That’s why her behavior’s erratic.

In Germany, Lou led a lycanthrope chase
And Sue was a shrink at a French naval base
In Austria, Al skied his way to first place   
And Chris was a captain who warped into space
The werewolf was killed
Some wackos were grilled
Al’s dream was fulfilled
Some green blood was spilled  
No matter the time, and no matter the place
