  1. Pete, the inspiration for this limerick was a map of the far side of the moon. When I saw Catena Leuschner, Catena Michelson, and Catena Lucretius on it, I couldn’t resist. The map can be found at: http://cseligman.com/text/moons/moonfar.htm. “Catena” is the descriptor term for a chain of craters along the surface of an astronomical body. Wikipedia names 20 catenae in a list that includes the entire surface of the moon. The list can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_lunar_features#Catena.
