I attended the Huckabee Huddle on July 23, 2015. The Las Vegas Review-Journal published this photo of me in the next day’s newspaper. I was unaware that the photo had been taken, though I did pose later for a photo alongside Mike, which may have been taken by the Associated Press.
Fame at last David? Always good to make the newspapers, whatever the reason.
Best wishes, Pete.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal is the largest circulating daily newspaper in Nevada. I’ve had a few people approach me and say, “Hey, I saw you in the paper!” I think “fame” is a gross overstatement, but it has been fun to be recognized by a handful of strangers because of the newspaper photo. By the way, Pete, I edited these two newspaper posts in order to provide sharper images. If I had taken the photos with your new camera, you’d be able to see the pores in my skin! *
* Although you might consider that remark pulp fiction.

Fame might be an overstatement, but you have been recognised as a result, and at least it didn’t attract any ‘crazies’. I had to enlarge the photos, to read the text, but they were fine.

I did not know you when.

Although I backed Mike Huckabee, I did go to two Trump rallies in Las Vegas once he was the Republican nominee. Further in the past, I attended a Ross Perot rally in Kansas City, and a speech delivered by Pres. Reagan in Independence, Missouri. I also shook Pres. Carter’s hand in front of the Jackson County Courthouse in downtown Kansas City. Finally, I’ve had “up close and personal” experiences with a few senators, and other lower level politicians, over the years…
Tref, As you probably know from my comments on Twitter, I never let mainstream politics get in the way of an internet friendship. I only avoid radical extremists.
Thanks for stopping by! It’s always a pleasure to see you here, Tref.

I saw Reagan when he was in Santa Clara, Ca. during his second run for the presidency. But my fascination with politics ended there.
