The magic flute …

A rather impatient young flautist, named “Peg” Rowe,
Who’d lost her right leg, pinned her hopes on allegro.
She played on her flute
A lively toot-toot…
But flutes are not magic. They can’t make a leg grow.

Limerick #213

Foot abuse. A double limerick …

Miss Park grabbed her toe. “While it’s true we are poor,
We must spend some money! The wood in this floor
Is splintering badly. Just one splinter more
And these tender toes will incite bloody war!”
She called Mr. Bowers,
And waited three hours.  
He came with some flowers!
“They’re surely not ours!”
Miss Park lost her temper. She stomped and she swore.
“I called for a floorist..!” She kicked shut the door.
