How we saved the planet…
In spaceships they came from a world of pink quartz and black granite.
They carefully planned the invasion before they began it.
But then it was foiled
By Man who despoiled
The Earth of its riches, which made it a poor third world planet!

Third world planet. It may well be considered as such by outsiders, one of these days…
Best wishes, Pete.

If we don’t take better care of our environment, that may very well be the case! On the other hand, if we do preserve the planet, we might become a target of resource-hungry aliens…

If only we had a third world, then we may be able to carry on as we are.

If we don’t nuke ourselves this century, perhaps we’ll colonize a few worlds, and thereby ensure the survival of mankind. Thanks for your comment, Eddy!

🙂 I’m half think that nature has planned a nuke or two just to reduce the population and give the planet a chance. I notice nature is doing well around Chernobyl.

It’s actually the picture off a postcard sent to me by the Sunderland Tourist Information Centre. On the back of the postcard, they wrote: “Mr. Miller. We invite you and your rowdy cowhands to come enjoy our lovely city.” It was signed by The Walrus in Mowbray Park. Something tells me this was a practical joke… But, seriously, Fraggle, thanks for stopping by. it’s always great to see you here!
