Ban Joe’s banjo…?
Joe Downe bought a townhouse downtown
His neighbors, the Nabors, played down
How loudly Joe played
But quietly prayed
That he’d lay that loud banjo down!

Some real tongue twisting lyrics to sing along with 🙂

When I read the limerick, I inevitably flub that last line! So, yes, it’s something of a tongue twister. Thanks, Eddy! It’s great to see you here!

I wouldn’t attempt this after a few glasses of wine! Good one, David. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.

The main objective of this limerick was to start it with JOE DOWNE and end it with banJO DOWN, as well as to use repetition of sounds within, and also to twist the tongue a bit.
Maybe just one glass of wine to loosen up the tongue?
