Dating a Japanese girl: she gobbles down food–but at least she is frugal and shrewd!
“That girl can negotiate–ooh!
An evenin’ ago she ate two
Instead of one meal–
She got a good deal!
I craved what Nagoshi ate, too!”

This one wasn’t all that easy, Pete:
…negotiate–ooh!
…n’ ago she ate two
…Nagoshi ate, too!”
The lengthy rhyme scheme is fairly contrived, but perhaps the limerick’s unusual subject matter vindicates the effort! In any event, I’m glad you liked it! 🙂

I wonder how you come up with these things! Very good, David. I can see it wasn’t an easy one.

Thanks, Cindy! It usually stems from a rhyme, which I then try to develop into a limerick. Aside from the rhyming aspect, there’s also the issue of rhythm/accentuation. I appreciate your taking the time to read and digest this one! 😉
