The large white one represents the book as a whole. The smaller stones represent the actual number of revisions I’ve made (separate editions, if you will). Each revision was less substantial than the previous one. I don’t know if the symbolism was obvious, but it makes a nice picture regardless! The sandstone at Calico Basin comes in a variety of colors, including white, yellow, pink, red, and purple.
