Usually one has to die to appear in the newspaper. In my case, that was unnecessary!

CURIOSITY
Curiosity
Don’t you hammer me
Can’t you see, my heart’s worn out
Dealing with the doubt
Several years ago
Two loves in a row
Set aglow my fragile heart
Tore my life apart
Wonder if my heart could take
One more love, I wish I knew
Oh, but if my heart should break
Oh, I wish I knew
Wish I knew what choice to make
One more time, I want to dream
Oh, but doubt keeps me awake
Oh, I want to dream
Want to dream, but my nerves shake
One more kiss, I won’t say no
Oh, but my frail heart’s at stake
Oh, I won’t say no
Finish life alone
In my comfort zone
Flesh and bone’s enough for me
If you set me free

* MY NAME IS CHRIS is a cover of MY NAME IS JIMMY (Crabbo-Wolford).
Out with the dogs: Pragmatic Pete meets Cocky Brown. A double limerick…*
Pete felt the first raindrop, looked up, and said, “Golly!
I think I had better spring open my brolly.
My dog’s in the river. I’ll call him. Hey, Ollie!
You’ll wear yourself out chasing ducks. It’s pure folly!
You dog paddle well, but in vain.
And so you have nothing to gain.
I really do hate to complain.
But, well, it is starting to rain…”
Just then Hewett Brown came along with his collie.
“No duck can escape my Unsinkable Molly!”

Special delivery…
The radio said, “We’ve a message for Albert.
We sent you the tickets to Friday night’s concert.
We said the ‘tenth caller,’
You sent a torn collar!
So be it. We hope you can mend your old nightshirt…”
